If you're having trouble you could instead, go back to the campsite, pick up another oil jar (they respawn), and carry it down the tunnel to destroy the wall. Shoot it with your arrow or through a couple of torches to cause it to explode and break the wall. Look through the bars in the room to find the large oil jar in the room containing the artifact. On the left wall of the tunnel you can use the hole near the floor to enter a tiny room.

Go down until and you'll reach a deadend with a breakable wall on the left. Use the oil jar to destroy the floor in the center of the ruins. Once they're dealt with, grab an oil jar from the small campsite directly next to the ruins. When you reach the area, you'll first need to take out all the enemies surrounding the ruins.
